The FOP preferences panel, has as button called "Use Windows® standard
fonts".

It turnes out that for users of recent versions of MacOS, that
particular button is disabled.

And the explanation the disablement, is probably found in the XXE Help
documents, which says:

Note that theUse Windows® standard fontsbutton is grayed if
theArialfont is not found in the standard fonts folder of your system.

Because, it turns out that on MacOS, the Arial font has been moved to a
sub folder of the standard fonts folder, to a folder called Supplemental:

/System/Library/Fonts/Supplemental/Arial.ttf

If this is indeed the explanation, would it not be rather simple to
update the FOP add on to consider the Supplemental folder the standard
fonts folder, so that the "Use Windows® standard fonts" button could
work again?
