We don't really know. Yes, it's unprofessional. Sorry. A generic
comparison with other XML editors is found here:
https://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/features.html

4 obvious facts though:

(1) Oxygen is the market leader; we are not. And this is even more the
case when its comes to *DITA* editing an publishing.

(2) Our DITA Editor (or XML Editor, basically the same product) works
very differently from Oxygen XML Author.

Our DITA/XML editor will never let the user make the document she/he is
editing invalid. (As a consequence, our editor is not good at helping
the user fix severely invalid documents.) Therefore its UI/UX is quite
peculiar. Some users find it quite straightforward and love it. Other
users hate it.

Please first take a look at these very short screencasts (outdated in
terms of UI; our product looks nicer now) to get an idea of how our
product works:

* Creating a document,
https://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/_tutorial/create_doc/video/create_doc.html

* Basic editing,
https://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/_tutorial/basic_edit/video/basic_edit.html

* Easier editing,
https://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/_tutorial/easy_edit/video/easy_edit.html

More screencasts here: https://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/tutorial.html

(3) Oxygen includes the DITA Open Toolkit (https://www.dita-ot.org/),
the reference implementation of DITA publishing. Our product includes
XMLmind DITA Converter (https://www.xmlmind.com/ditac/)

Why choose XMLmind DITA Converter rather than the DITA Open Toolkit?
https://www.xmlmind.com/ditac/why_choose_ditac.html

(4) Our product is quite inexpensive compared to Oxygen XML Author.

* Our DITA Editor: lifetime license, initial price includes 1-year SMP,
floating license: just $195 per concurrent user.

Full-fledged XML Editor (recommended purchase because it comes with
"Convert to RTF, WML, DOCX, ODT" and "Import DOCX" at a bargain price):
lifetime license, initial price includes 1-year SMP, floating license:
just $390 per concurrent user.

Monthly subscription not available.

* Oxygen XML Author: lifetime license, initial price includes 1-year
SMP, license bound to a designated user: $775.

12 Months subscription available.

> How can we get an evaluation copy?

Our DITA Editor is identical to our XML Editor in terms of DITA editing.
See "Which editor to choose?",
https://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/which_editor.html . Therefore please
download XMLmind XML Editor Personal Edition and give it a try:

Web Edition here (similar to Oxygen XML Web Author,
https://www.oxygenxml.com/xml_web_author.html) here:

Online demo available.
