Shiva, please understand my comments were not intended to be "judgement" on anyone. We all have our own commitments and our own drivers. I myself have been innactive on CIS for some months now. People provide what they can when they can. In a voluntary organisation we cannot ask for any more. Having said that, I should acknowledge the fact that you have provided considerable input to CIS *despite* personal circumstances that would have kept most people away. For this, I and other members of the CIS community are extremely grateful. I am sorry if my comments seemed to imply anything otherwise and assure you that was not my intention. > I believe that inorder for us to move forward with CIS we need to > physically meet at least once a month..Like the TTCS group, either a Pizza > lime or a tech meeting...we will surely know who is commited by making the > time to attend and also get a lot of discussing and dissions made. > > All in favor say "I" I am a member of a large number of active communities that do not meet. It is true that many of these are different in the sense they are spread across many countries. I do not believe it is necessary for a group to meet in order to be productive. However, if meetings are arranged *and* I am avialable to attend I will. I have said this before on this list, but no meetings have been arranged as yet. I do not have the time to make the neccessary arrangments so please feel free to take the initiative here. >>What can I tell Rotary on Tuesday? Very true, but we should also realise that Rotary is also a local Charity. It doesn't just do massive projects like the eradication of Polio. Rotary is a number of local clubs that are all affiliated through Rotary International. Many of the things are local (St Joseph and Maracas Rotary, for example, deliver meals to the needy in their area every sunday) some are national (Port of Spain Rotary recently used the local T&T Rotary clubs to assist in the distribution of 2000 wheel chairs) and others are international (the Polio Eradication scheme). However, we have to give back at least as much as we take. What can we give? Ross
