Subject: [cis] [VOTE] Learning Content Management Project

I would like to propose a Learning COntent Management Project as part of
the CIS effort.

The project has been named Burrokeet, for those not Trini based the
Burrokeet is a Carnival Character that represents the beast of burdon
freed to frolic in the feilds. The donkey represents the learner and the
teacher, both freed from the burdons of learning and facilitating learning.

You can see some basic info about the project at
http://www.burrokeet.org.

We are rolling along to our first deliverabel which will provide a
learning content publishing environment. This will take input in many
different froms and provide a unified output. Output can be in many
formats (for example, HTML, PDF, VoiceXML etc.), thus enabling many
different outputs from a single input.

I would like to propose this project as a member of the CIS family of
projects.

What does this mean?

It means that we will link to CIS from the Burrokeet project and that
occasional I may call on this community to provide assistance and
guidance. There is *no* commitment implied by CIS in its acceptance as I
will be managing the Burrokeet project as a separate entity. I simply
want to use CIS as a potential networking tool.

What is in it for CIS?

An active (and funded) project that will not die beacause of lack of
activity. We have one full time employee and three part time.

Please cast your votes (or ask for more info) (see
http://cis.saafe.org/community/organisation.html)

Here's my +1
