Ace, congratulations on this breakthrough. I know how hard it can be to get approval of new technologies. I do hope that you can make the CISIC project an official CIS project. All that means is that you keep us informed by giving us reports once in a while and also share the knowledge you gain with other members. Wait, you do this already right? ;-)) Allan. > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On > Behalf Of Ace Suares > Sent: Thursday, May 13, 2004 9:46 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: [cis] CISIC: project approved > > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > Hash: SHA1 > > Hi all! > > GOOD news. > > The Computers in Schools in Curacao project, of which you > haven't heard for a loooong time, is finally approved by the > board of the roman-catholic schools (90 schools 22.000students)! > > This pilot project involves setting up one classroom with > LTSP with 30 computers, training of systemmanagers and teachers. > > Actually, the RKCS has invited the protestant schools and the > schools to participate in the project - they will send one > systemmanager each for the training. > > Effectively, the majority of all schools (about 90%) will > then benefit from the pilot project. > > This is a major breakthrough. > > _Ace > > PS Wether CISIC is officially part of CIS, is ehm .... > unclear, we might talk about that a bit more and then I can > try to send a more comprehensive projectdescription to this > list indue time. > > > - -- > Suares & Pronk Internet Services > Sans Souci # 32 A > Willemstad, Curacao, NA > telefoon: (+5999) 662 53 74 > fax: +31 848 707 705 > website: http://www.suares.an > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- > Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) > > iD8DBQFAo3wd9BZeB01JH8MRAvL8AKDaMVuLzdjbhBw6/971fUbBscsZVQCglBY0 > nvRX0L1SCoC8I9rYIQ0tC3A= > =NxI2 > -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- >
