RE: CIS Projects

Projects do not have to be development based.  When I did the course my
project was to compare the quality of UWI's post grad degree with those in
foreign universities..........prof postoff was my supervisor.......I was
quaking in my boots when I presented to the dmcs staff and concluded that
the uwi's programme was sub-standard!  Anyway ross, if the dmcs is willing
to allow some projects to be under the CIS then that will be great.  

1.  A dmcs lecturer wouldn't be the only supervisor and that's one less
burden for him/her.  This is done in the uwi physics dept and engineering
faculty..........also to some extent in the social sciences.

2.  Secondly, this allows the CIS to come up with a few short term projects
that will have a dedicated resource(s) for a few months.  What projects?  I
don't have any in mind yet, but I'm sure WE ALL can come up with something.
