I am now working on promotion of the project. If you need materials, let 
me know. Anil has recently created three superb content packages and 
there are a further three from my own work. They are not the easiest to 
demonstrate yet, but tell us what you are trying to do and we will help.

Yes, *potential* remember Burrokeet has only just released version 
0.1rc1. You can't get much earlier than that in a release schedule. 
Granted we are pretty advanced for a tool at that stage of development, 
but it will be a good while before it is useful for the "non-technical" 
user.

This is why I am so keen on having a clear problem specification, 
becasue if you do go with Burrokeet it will requrie hands on assistance 
for the scholls. Anil is, of course, well aware of this and I know he is 
working closely with you so he will not "lead you up the garden path" as 
we say in England. But be aware of the potential and develop it, rather 
than trying to solve the worlds problems overnight.

(aside myself and a German colleague recently made a proposal to 
O'Reilly for a book on single source publishing, aimed at the non 
computer scientist. This book will have Burrokeet as the primary tool. 
COnsequently, if this proposal is accepted, should hear before XMas, 
you can expect Burrokeet to become a true end user tool within 12 months).


As, Richard suggests, work with the teachers not the administrators. 
Admins want immediate results, teachers want the best solutions and some 
will be willing to work with you on those solutions, whatever they are.
