don't have RHS's contact number. guess he may have contacted you by now.

i don't have a dream list of hardware, so i'll accept your suggestions,
except perhaps for the sound cards, but help me out here. i read
somewhere that the onboard sound is better than any card except for the
audigy 2 so for what reasons would they need it?

we'll include the cost for windows licenses because i understand the MoE
will want to cut prices.......so if they do, then we can still get some
decent hardware.....and install linux.

don't know if they shopping around. i guess they will be. our
battalion of past students is huge and well connected.

now here's the thing........CIS is unregistered so we won't be able to
send a quote with a CIS letterhead......however if i use Trini PC as a
strategic partner of the CIS that supplies hardware, it might work.
also something similar can be done for any software development required.

what about the software? can we begin to compile a list of software?

Office Productivity: OpenOffice.org
Image Editing - The Gimp
3D Editing - Blender
WWW Browsing - Firefox

What's a good multimedia distro to use? Most likely we will have to
install linux if the budget is cut.

looking forward to this discussion.
