No one went to Athens from Crete when the Nazis landed [where did they land?] which was late April 1941 for Athens and late May for Crete. The Nazis left the mainland in October 1944 and Crete in spring 1945. Allied Aid was extended to Greece in 1947. There were many open boats in the other direction, mostly Crete to Egypt.
