Thanks, Owen. There's certainly a lot in Nagy's work that I will be able to use, but I'm still remembering a free-standing article. If it doesn't spring to consciousness for me and no one else can identify it, I'll still have plenty of sources for the course I'm teaching, which is primarily about the mythic origins of plant life. There is no end of plants to consider, and Ovid is good for several sessions, not to mention Native American stories, such as the origin of the trailing arbutus, corn, tobacco, and so on. Maybe another ten week course later....
