I'm very sorry to get this news.  I only became acquainted with Matthew
Trundle's work a few days ago, when I read his very good review of Jason
Crowley's interesting *Psychology of the Ancient Hoplite* in *American
Historical Review*, 120 (2015).  I look forward to reading more of Prof.
Trundle's work.

Thanks for the good account of an interesting life!
