I am planning to visit California for the first time in early November. First to Sacramento and then on to San Francisco Airline schedules from Toronto offer various combinations One option might be a flight to Oakland via Salt Lake City Amtrak from there to Sacramento [hotel already booked] later Amtrak to San Francisco Flight back to Toronto from Oakland However need advice a] on where to stay overnight in Oakland or Emeryville? near to the rail station b] Recommendations for moderate hotels/ air BNB ? in San Francisco Also any other tips you might have on places to see I am so looking forward to this visit!
