Marvin Thank you SO much for your kind offer. However my itinerary has changed and I managed to get suitable flights from Toronto into Sacramento and out of San Francisco to Toronto for a reasonable price. I found flying from Toronto Sacramento more confusing that I expected, no direct flights instead assorted options on Expedia that included trips routed via Detroit, Denver, Edmonton, Salt Lake City, San Francisco and - the most topographically bizarre - Delta's though Atlanta! The Oakland idea was suggested to me as an option so as to get a standard return fare fare rate, rather than( two more expensive) single tickets, and seemed a better than Delta!! I m really looking forward to my first visit to California.
