Re: wifi upgrade in the library, wifi users now have to authenticate

We had this happen to us last year when our IT dept "upgraded" the
library's wifi and in doing so gave the wifi users IP addresses from a new
range that was outside the rest of the campus "class B" range.  That of
course made them appear just like off campus, thus proxied.
Have you checked what IP ranges the new wifi network is using?
Also if your campus is doing anything with IPv6, check that too.
