Hi Chriss. We use LDAp and control access to EZproxy resources using LDAP groups. We use LDAP. In our case, the University assigns IDs. The IDs do not expire because students are provided with a perpetual university email address which also is linked to the LDAP account. The Library runs a program to extract patron information from university systems in order to load patrons into the LMS. The program also determines who is eligible for access to electronic resources and assigns and removes LDAP groups accordingly. When patrons are no longer eligible for access, the LDAP group is removed. Best, Laszlo.
