The link format is: https://ezproxy.cidlibrary.org/login?url=https://www.referenceusa.com the /Home/Home is added during resolution. And there are NO NoHttpsHyphens at all in the file, and I did add HttpsHyphens as a troubleshooting step. If I attempt a link with hyphens in it, it gives me that isn’t a starting point URL. From: EZproxy List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of John Benedetto Sent: Wednesday, October 2, 2019 1:04 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [EZPROXY-L] WildCard Cert Errors You shouldn’t NEED to do that as adding hyphens to the URL is the default behavior by EZProxy: https://help.oclc.org/Library_Management/EZproxy/Configure_resources/Option_HttpsHyphens However, as a troubleshooting step, certainly try adding it to your stanza. We’ve all seen computer weirdness, and if putting it in there fixes it, well, great. It IS position dependent, so if you have a NoHttpsHyphens in your file, you might need to a HttpsHyphens to make things right from that point on. The only thing I can think of is: Are you referencing it as: https://www-referenceusa-com.ezproxy.cidlibrary.org/Home/Home or as https://ezproxy.cidlibrary.org/login?url=https://www-referenceusa-com/Home/Home (I think that’s the format, right?) Chris Z. always said you should use the ‘proper’ form (the 2nd one) when linking to a resource. Unrelated: I would suggest adding Option ForceHTTPSLogin to your config.txt (I saw a login screen that wasn’t HTTPS), as well as Option ForceHTTPSAdmin (if you don’t already have it in there). I have no Option NoHttpsHyphens in config.txt, and I am getting cert errors showing me the URL https://www.referenceusa.com.ezproxy.cidlibrary.org/Home/Home [referenceusa.com.ezproxy.cidlibrary.org]<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www.referenceusa.com.ezproxy.cidlibrary.org_Home_Home&d=DwMGaQ&c=8v77JlHZOYsReeOxyYXDU39VUUzHxyfBUh7fw_ZfBDA&r=RzuvmrjV2OCbxFATfoSTEnF5WFvuPC_o3B3MUQCetc0&m=YhmQloYYdUUd9W1Sdi5CK7Vf9H2Plrp8VF5PfOya2Jw&s=x1QF3qxbNtUZRRxNCL1_7S-KvMC-u2YD1SWwvMYl5Vw&e=> I have been beating my head against this for a couple of days now. I would assume for that to work, I would have to be sending https://www-referenceusa-com.ezproxy.cidlibrary.org/Home/Home [www-referenceusa-com.ezproxy.cidlibrary.org]<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www-2Dreferenceusa-2Dcom.ezproxy.cidlibrary.org_Home_Home&d=DwMGaQ&c=8v77JlHZOYsReeOxyYXDU39VUUzHxyfBUh7fw_ZfBDA&r=RzuvmrjV2OCbxFATfoSTEnF5WFvuPC_o3B3MUQCetc0&m=YhmQloYYdUUd9W1Sdi5CK7Vf9H2Plrp8VF5PfOya2Jw&s=bI8-XhfciX12cQj3QgBA8yxEIo4H3OGZroMQsNt3Dfs&e=> Is that correct? That should be the default behavior? ________________________________ To unsubscribe from the EZPROXY-L list, click the following link: http://listserv.oclclists.org/scripts/wa.exe?SUBED1=EZPROXY-L&A=1 ******************************************************************** If you wish to stop receiving messages from EZPROXY-L or otherwise amend your preferences, you can do so here.
