Re: Location restrictions for Alexander Street Press

We are actively dealing with this very issue, right now on a U.S. military base...in the U.S..  Through Ezproxy, they can access Alexander Street Press videos when off base, but not when on base.  Currently investigating a potential firewall setting, but it has not been resolved yet.

Has anyone run into location restrictions on Alexander Street Press videos (AVON)? We have students who are studying abroad in Chile, and when they try to access a particular movie ("No", directed by Pablo Larraín), they get the message "We're sorry, access to this film is not allowed from your location." It seems to be working here in the United States, from both on and off campus. From the screenshot the students sent me, it seems to be retaining the proxy information. Would ASP even be able to tell that they are in Chile? I put in a ticket with Alexander Street but haven't heard back yet.
