Hi Alan.

Your red screen has a proxied URL, so I expect that your ezproxy log should have an entry for the access. If you log the referring URL, you should be able to find where it was coming from in your ezproxy logs.

I suspect I am missing something here, the issue I have is that I don’t know where the link is being accessed from. I’ve had a look at adding in our &inst id, but it seems to break google scholar for users using scholar.google.com, and doesn’t fix the issue for users accessing us via scholar.google.co.uk…. As noted, I don’t know where the users are accessing from, all I have is an alert from google that’s been sent to the webteam… :(

For institutions that don’t preconfigure their link resolver with their EZproxy prefix just use your inst= on your EZproxy Starting Point URL. You can obtain your inst= code following the steps at https://ericsilva.me/google/linking-your-school-library-to-google-scholar/<https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/965wCwV1jpSAxz3OiKlhwq?domain=ericsilva.me>. This fixes the query host to scholar.google.com and may avoid your red screen of danger.
