I think here our problem ended up being something else entirely - Elsevier thinks they accidentally blocked out proxy IP. They told us they'd have it fixed sometime in the next three days. We'll see if that does it!

Jaime,

There may be a kink with personalization on ScienceDirect and Scopus via an EZproxy session too. I switched our links to WAYFless shibboleth links for the time being since that path is unaffected.
Looks like I missed an update this stanza (after the Scopus stanza):

Title -hide Elsevier Identity
URL https://id.elsevier.com
HJ https://id.elsevier.com
HJ id.elsevier.com
DJ id.elsevier.com
Find redirect_uri=https://clicktime.symantec.com/3M7PUDGt913CBHuafzZkvi47Vc?u=https%3A%2F%2F
Replace redirect_uri=https://^A

Currently I have:

Title -hide Elsevier Identity

URL https://id.elsevier.com

HJ https://id.elsevier.com

HJ id.elsevier.com

DJ id.elsevier.com

Find redirect_uri=https://

Replace redirect_uri=https://^A

All,

We've also had a lot of issues reported for off-campus users trying to access ScienceDirect this week - or perhaps since the beginning of the month. Our suspicion so far is that it's an issue on Elsevier's side, but would love to hear other's input.

Subject: [EZPROXY-L] Caching issue: ongoing problems

Hi all,

We're having a large number of reports of this issue since the beginning of last week. We're on EZproxy 6.4.4 GA.

I did some systematic testing of a number of resources in Chrome yesterday afternoon (on my desktop pc and on a laptop using my phone data) after first clearing my cache. I was able to access between 6 and 8 articles before I got the intervening error page below.

[cid:[email protected]]

Before I log a call with OCLC, can I just check with those in the know re a suggestion that was made last month which was to wrap stanzas (for resources on the Literatum platform) in the Option Cookie ... Option DomainCookieOnly directives. Does this mean that these directives should surround the entire stanza as below? I'm unclear whether I should be leaving existing directives in place.

Thanks,

Sharon
