Re: Needhost alert oddity

Hi Sharon,

I can trigger those blank fields when I view our needhost page without being referred to it by EZproxy, so perhaps something on or off network is crawling your Ezproxy docs and triggering it.

Are you grabbing IP and username? If so I presume they are blank as well. Otherwise they could be useful in searching your log file for the activity.

You might also be able to grab a timestamp when these are triggered and view your log file to see what else is happening with Ezproxy around that time.

We've had the Needhost alert set up for quite a while now. In the last few days, I've seen a few examples of the following:

Requested url =

Requested host =

Does anyone have any suggestions about what could be producing this or where to look?
