Hi all,

Thanks for the responses on & off list. I heard back from our Ovid rep:

Hi Patricia,

Thanks for getting in touch.
The connect platform has been retired immediately so I would suggest you no longer use that URL. JBI is now on the Ovid platform and searchable with your other content (Emcare journals, MIDIRS, Medline).

JBI recommitted to focusing on current content that will improve practice and patient outcomes and providing tools that will meets it requirements for currency and supporting evidence-based practice. These are the changes to JBI:

  * There is a lot of exciting content being added to the JBI database - including new Best Practice Information Sheets, Evidence Summaries, and more. Outdated content is being removed.
  * PACES will be undergoing significant renovations similar to the updates SUMARI received last year.
  * Outdated tools; CAN-Implement, TAP, Journal Club, RAPid, Manual Builder, and Pamphlet Builder are being retired.
When are these changes happening?

  * New Best Practice Information Sheets, Evidence Summaries, and other JBI database content is already being loaded into the JBI database. We will communicate again when we have a date for removing the outdated content. This will happen by the end of 2019.
  * We do not have a date of when the updates to PACES will go live, but work is beginning this year and will continue into 2020.
  * The tools will be removed at the time of your subscription renewal.
I have copied in our Customer Support team to help with your custom URL’s/any other access queries.

So I am waiting to hear from their Customer Support on custom URLs etc.

Hi Patricia,

The one that you mention is working is the one we’ve been using for some time, I’ve never seen the other OVID one.

I seem to remember OVID mentioning earlier in the year that JBI Connect access would cease via http://connect.jbiconnectplus.org/Default.aspx<http://connect.jbiconnectplus.org/Default.aspx> and move to OVID. Not sure if content will merge into Joanna Briggs Institute EBP Database?

I haven’t received any communication specifically on this, we did receive notification today regarding the removal of some of the JBI tools from OVID though.

Kind regards,

Tracey

Subject: [EZPROXY-L] JBI COnNECT+ - new URL?

Hello all,

Has anyone received notice of a change in platform URL for JBI Connect? I haven’t had any communication to this effect, but our current URL:

http://access.ovid.com/custom/uond999/jbi/<http://access.ovid.com/custom/uond999/jbi/>

Is not working, and I find that this platform is accessible via the web (and is recognising our subscription):

http://connect.jbiconnectplus.org/Default.aspx<http://connect.jbiconnectplus.org/Default.aspx>

Thanks,
