About 20 hours ago the vendor told me they had just then fixed the download problem. My response to them, which is consistent with what Andrew has said, was:

“It’s better, but still problematic. The problem is that it’s very slow. The Excel file did eventually download. For the PDF, it does open a new tab (which it didn’t before) but then it seems to just time out.”

Their reply was, “Unfortunately we are experiencing delays with the PDF downloads for UK/CN collections. […] Our IT team is working on this in the background and we can expect to have a resolution within the next week.”

Be aware that it appears that not all PDFs are working properly, so even once the appropriate updates for EZproxy are made, you might still run into the same things that I have been seeing on our platform.

I have found PDF download links that do not actually return any content at all on the new platform.  The link looks proper, but after 60 seconds, our proxy tears down the connection for a timeout without having received any content from the IBISWorld servers.  Other links do return appropriate content, and do so quickly, so this seems to be a hit-or-miss issue at the article level.  Interestingly enough, I have not found an article where the Excel link does not work, but I have found articles where the PDFs downloads fail and the Excel downloads succeed.

From the outside, I cannot tell if they do not have 100% of the content migrated into the new platform, and that's what I am seeing, or if there is a bug in the new platform that is causing the PDF generation and/or download to fail.

I was able to right click and download a PDF, but a normal click to download does not work.

I have tried the stanzas Erin provided, but it doesn’t work for us. We still can’t download the report, only seeing the downloading circle but nothing happen after clicking on a report format.

I don’t directly manage Duke’s local EZP instance, so this question may have an obvious answer that I don’t know.

Is there any need for a US-based library to include the lines for the international domains (.au, .ca, .co.uk<http://co.uk>, .cn, .de) and the ”procurement.iq<http://procurement.iq>” HJ lines if Duke does not subscribe to Procurement IQ?

I’m also curious as to why your stanza is missing a line for https://my.ibisworld.com when the vendor advised including that line?

I asked the vendor rep (Michael Fama) this question last week and am still waiting on an answer.

We have the same report downloading issue here, and I have reported the issue to our rep and now waiting for reply.

I did notice yesterday, we can right click on the report format (eg. PDF) and open the full report on a new tab.

Hi All,

IBISWorld is moving to a new platform next week. I tried to update the stanza from the OCLC site to the following by adding two lines for the new platform – see red section below).

The new platform seems to be working with the proxy except I’m not able to download PDF or Excel files of the reports. The wheel keeps spinning around but nothing downloads.

Has anyone else noticed this and, if so, found a way to solve this problem?
