Dear Ravi, To which university you apply in Sweden depends on Your field of Study more specifically. The admission process is different in Sweden and GRE is not a prerequisite, only TOEFL/IELTS is enough. The admission process is centralised and u apply once and have your preferences. You will be considered for courses according to your preference. You pay application fee just once (100euro) . KTH ,LUND, LINKOPING ,SU are big universities but there are few others as well. Ur order of preference is very important. Give some time to explore the centralised website for admission(https://www.antagning.se/intl/start) for admissionand all related quarries, if you still have any issues you can ask again. The part time job opportunities are rare but living expenses are not that high. Standard of living is quite and can compete with any place in the world. After reading your response about studies in Sweden and other places in Europe, I really want to apply some universities there as I am in application phase right now..my gre score in Quant is162 and Verbal is 150 (Total 312/340)..could you please let me know some of the good universities out there..:) I know this group doesn't suggest universities ..but just for a reference of good univ based on someone already there will be of great help. I also have 3.5 years of experience and B.Tech was 73% in CSE...just in case if you need to know for better compilation of my profile. Thanks a lot in advance.. ________________________________ From: engr nowshad <engrnowshad-/[email protected]> To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, 17 November 2011 12:10 AM Subject: Re: (GRE Success! ) GRE new format score Plus Advise Thanks alot Srihari Yes you are right, she was confused and somehow she was thinking its too low. I will tell You percentile tomorrow hopefully. We have great company here in Sweden, in my flat we are 4 Indians from Hyderabad and me the only Pakistani. We spend one full years togather. Now have more Indians around rather than Pakistani. I always appreciate your efforts and help for the youngsters. The activity on group is now quite less, i don't know why?. If you come to Europe for any conference etc i will be more than happy to host you. I will add one advise for all Pakistani/Indians brothers and sisters who wish to apply in Europe ,although Sweden has started tuition fee but tuition fee waived off and scholarships opportunities are now much more. Do apply in Sweden. Also there is there is very little or no tuition fee in Germany, Finland and Norway. Jobs market in Sweden in computer science related fields are very bright as compared to US currently. Almost every Indian and Pakistani in these fields get Jobs without wait. If anyone need further assistance he/she can contact me. Do encourage your friend to join the group herself as well. I would say, it is quite hard to determine the nature of these scores for any of us, especially without the percentile reports, which I believe she will receive shortly. In any case, I think these are good enough and her profile looks quite encouraging, and she should try!
