Hello Saikat,

Thanks for alerting us to another game being played by ETS. Sheesh.

All said, most schools are still looking at the absolute GRE scores and not
the percentiles. Secondly, I think the percentile changes for you are not
that great for the verbal and math sections, so nothing to worry about. The
AWA percentile change is just weird.

The questions remain the same, so with more takers, the averages move a
little bit on Math and Verbal, and I am not very surprised. It may even be
that they might go back up again over time. The change on the AWA appears
more spurious and may reflect in how their grading mechanism has changed
over time.

Nevertheless, I digress. For you, the GRE is only one component of your
application, and you should apply paying attention to the whole package,
and how best to sell yourself as an ideal candidate, all things considered
- the scores, your school, projects, SOP, LORs, your resume/portfolio and
so on.

Best Wishes!!

Srihari
