Nevsky Institute of Language and Culture accepts applications for the following programs:

I. ACADEMIC TERM PROGRAM

Fall Term: September 1, 2002 - December 27, 2002
Level of language required: at least after 2 years of Russian 
Dead line for applications: August 9, 2002

TUITION program covers 3 different parts:
I Part: courses with Russian students
    Any of 4 semester courses of the following departments:
    - Linguistics and Intercultural Communication
    - Public Relations
    - Economics  
(For example, you can choose academic courses in Russian Literature; Civilization; English, German, French, Spanish, Latin languages; Russian History; Politics; Philosophy; Communication and etc.)
    For each chosen course helping session (2 academic hours per week with TA ) is provided.
 
II Part: Russian Language
- 4 academic hours per week Russian as a Foreign Language

III Part: Optional Afternoon Courses in
            - Gender Studies
            - Intercultural Communication
            - Theater
            - Visual Arts
            - Methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language

CREDITS: ECTS -each non-language academic course - 1credit
                         - language courses:
                                Russian  - 2 credits
                                English   - 3-4 credits
                                French, German, Spanish - 2-2,5 credits
                                Latin - 1 credit

ACCOMMODATION
with a host family (central location), two meals

COST:
- Visa support, OVIR registration, transfer, administrative fee - $115
- Tuition - $500 per semester
- Accommodation - $12 per day


II. RUSSIAN LANGUAGE TERM PROGRAM

Fall Term: September 1, 2002 - December 27, 2002
Level of language required: after 1 and 2 years of Russian 
Dead line for applications: August 9, 2002

TUITION:
- 16 academic hours of Russian Language per week
(Grammar, Phonetics, Conversation, Analytical Reading)
- Additional courses with Russian students and afternoon courses (including helping sessions with TA) are available without additional charge

CREDITS: ECTS - 8 credits  (Russian Language)
                Additional courses - each semester course = 1 credit

ACCOMMODATION:
with a host family (central location), two meals

COST:
- visa support, OVIR registration, transfer, administrative fee - $115
- tuition - $1150
- accommodation - $1416

III. SHORT TERM PROGRAM (SEPTEMBER)
September 1, 2002 - September 30, 2002
Level of language required: 
 - Elementary
 - Pre-Intermediate
 - Intermediate   
Dead line for applications: August 9, 2002

TUITION:
- Language class - 12 academic hours per week
- Educational Outings - 4 hours per week
CREDITS: ECTS - 2 credits

EXCURSIONS:
One excursion per week (Bus tour about the city,Peter and Paul Fortress, Hermitage, Pushkin)

ACCOMMODATION:
with a host family (central location), two meals

COST of the Program: $700
