IREX Russia Volga Regoin, US Partner Grants

Dear Colleagues:

IREX will soon implement the Round II phase of the PartNER program which
supports new and existing partnership projects between US and Russian
organizations that contribute to social and economic development in the
Volga Federal District (VFD) in Russia.  Under the Round II competition,
IREX plans to award up to a total of $780,000 to existing and new
partnerships. Existing partnership applicants may request up to a maximum
sum of $100,000, while new partnership applicants may request up
to a maximum of $70,000 in USAID funding.

As part of its efforts to facilitate new partnerships, IREX  has created a
Profile Application  form (available at
http://www.irex.org/volgapartner/register.htm) for US and Russian
organizations seeking new partners.  IREX will enter organizations' profile
information into an online database of US and Russian organizations that may
serve as potential partners under the PartNER program. You may search the
database to locate a potential organization with which to partner under the
Round II phase.

The PartNER online database may be viewed in English at
http://www.irex.org/volgapartner/database.htm, and in Russian at
http://www.irex.ru/programs/partner/database.html.  IREX has recently
updated the database to include a host of new Russian organization
interested in partnering with US organizations, bringing the total to 22. In
the next several weeks, more Russian organizations will be added to the
database.

Additionally, the Request for Applications (RFA) for Round II competitions
