Subject: Joint Scholarship Programme of the DAAD and WGL http://www.daad.de/deutschland/en/2.4.7.2.html Joint Scholarship Programme of the DAAD and WGL Young foreign academics and scientists who wish to do research at a selected LEIBNIZ INSTITUTE in Germany can, with immediate effect, apply for a "DAAD-Leibniz-Scholarship". The Scholarship Programme is open to postgraduates, doctoral/PhD candidates and post-docs from around the world. Scholarships can be awarded for a period of 12 to 36 months. In principle, it is also possible to gain a doctorate/PhD in Germany. The range of disciplines extends from regional studies, economics and business administration through to the life and natural sciences, engineering and environmental sciences. The specific disciplines or research projects are offered by the LEIBNIZ INSTITUTES. LEIBNIZ INSTITUTES are non-university research institutes and service facilities organised within the Leibniz Association (Wissenschaftsgemeinschaft Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz/ WGL); for further information contact http://www.wgl.de/daad/ Each research project must be agreed and coordinated by the applicant and the respective LEIBNIZ INSTITUTE. The German representations and DAAD regional offices around the world will accept applications for 2003 up until 15 December 2002.
