Fulbright Russia Grants,

The Fulbright Representative Office in the Russian Federation is pleased
to announce the 2003-2004 Senior Scholar Program Competition
Russian scholars working in the humanities, social sciences and arts are
invited to apply to the Senior Scholar Program.  Approximately 35 grants
will be awarded to support research or lecturing in an American
university.   Grants last between 3 to 8 months.  Awards include
round-trip travel and limited medical insurance.

To be eligible an applicant must be a citizen of the Russian Federation
and must live permanently in the Russian Federation; must have a
kandidatskaya degree (at a minimum) or doktorskaya degree at the time of
application (for professionals and artists outside academia, recognized
professional standing and substantial professional accomplishments s
expected.  For example, applicants in Music, Theater/Dance,
Architecture/Urban Planning must have a university degree and at least
10 years of work experience in the field.  Applicants in Library
Sciences must have a university degree and at least 5 years of work
experience in the field); must have proficiency in English appropriate
to the proposed research or lecturing project; and sound physical and
mental health.

Those who desire or hold permanent residence in the U.S. or who are
citizens of both a partner country and the U.S. are ineligible to apply.


Applicants will be considered without regard to race, religion, sex, age
and/or physical impairment.
