November 15-17, 2002
The American Association of University Women Educational Foundation
will host a three-day conference in Washington, D.C. to explore how
women have addressed four global issues: literacy improvement; peace
education and conflict resolution; governance; and education for
people with disabilities. The conference's goals include exchanging
information on women's political participation, identifying new
research, policy, and program strategies, and strengthening the
network of scholars who can coordinate research across national
