Training for Young Environmental Leaders
August 26-September 22, Szentendre, Hungary

The program is designed to develop management capabilities, abilities to
overcome cultural and national differences through intensive work in a
multicultural environment, knowledge of new approaches and solutions to
environmental problems and training skills. Participants follow a four-week
program of integrated and interactive workshops which address the particular
needs of the region and its younger NGO members, with training in fields
like: NGO and project management, campaign strategy, media-work,
communication skills, fundraising, public participation in environmental
decision-making, business plans for NGOs, NGOs and civil society and much
more. Eligible for the program: between 20 and 30 years old, show a strong
commitment to improving the environmental situation in the CEE region,
active in an environmental NGO, have citizenship in one of the participating
countries, and speak and write English well. The REC will cover all costs
related to travel, food, training fees and accommodation for the CEE and NIS
participants. Application package includes (in English): motives for
applying, expectations, the project you wish to develop for your NGO during
the training period, the session(s) to which you are applying, a letter of
support from the Director/Chairperson of your NGO, explaining the reasons
for recommending you for the training and how the NGO will benefit and CV.
