ToonTalk subtitles a bad thing?

Hi all.
Experts have recently told me that subtitles for demos (and Marty
speaking) are bad because they distract the eye from the important
events or interface elements. They are important for those that are hard
of hearing or not a native speaker.
I bring this up because I just changed the DEFAULTS for the new WebLabs
installation of ToonTalk to not use subtitles. If the new installer is
used on top of an old installation no change will be made.
Unless I hear strong objections this is how the new release of ToonTalk
will work.
