Final report on guess my robot

This message is intended primarily for those involved in "Guess my
robot". I'm sending it to the general mailing list, so that I do not
miss anyone. I also thought it might be of methodological interest to
others.

I believe it is time to facilitate final group reports on "Guess my
robot". This is important as part of the learning experience, as a means
of data collection and as a project obligation.

At the CLC, we have come up with the following procedure for writing report:

- we hand out paper questionnaires with a few open questions on the
topic at hand. We explain that this is not an exam, but just an aid for
the students to organize their thoughts for the discussion.
- we hold a group discussion, around the same questions, and write the
agreed responses into a web report. If the students do not agree, we
note several answers by name.
- we collect the questionnaires from the student and file them as data.

It is classified as a template, so that it can be used to scaffold
personal / group reports. Simply ask the students to select "Reflections
on Guess my Robot" as a template for their report.

However, sometimes (for technical reasons or other) its easier to use
pen and paper. In such case, simply copy the text into a word file, add
some space between the questions, and print. If you do so, please
remember to collect the forms after the group discussion, and circulate
a summary of the responses. Of course, you can still use the template as
a basis for your group report.

Please note that group reports and their assessment are a crucial part
of our deliverables for this year.
