Antispam Practices

For mail, I use webmail.spamcop.net, which costs me about $30/yr. 
Spamcop's net mail includes a version of Spam Assissin that seems to
be older than the one you are using, because it doesn't make such a
comprehensive report.

Spamcop permits me, as a web-mail user, much control over the antispam
strategy to be applied to my mail.  It offers two methods of
filtering: blacklisting and heuristics (the latter via Spam Assasin).
 I choose to submit mail to two blacklist tests first.  Mail that
passes those tests as likely non-spam then gets filtered according to
what Spam Assassin says about it.  Spamcop suggest 5 as a starting
threshold for filtering according to Spam Assassin's score.  I use 7.
 Mail scoring 7 or over gets archived and I might not see it for days.

When spam gets through all the filters and appears in my inbox, if it
arrived in the last hour or two or less, I report it to the
originating ISP.  Spamcop makes this a two-click operation.
