Re: WebLabs Instant Messaging - A bad thing?

I think the use of instant messaging is one of the things that helps to buil=
d
the community.

In the other day I went on Plone to send a message to a portuguese kid and I
recived two messages from english students. The same is happening in Portuga=
l.
When kids find out that Yishay is on-line, or other kids, the first thing th=
ey
say is: =ABLet's send him/her/their a message=BB.

The english kids ask me to send them my robot and I told them I would ask so=
me
portuguese students to send them robots. Today, Rory and Joe999 got two
messages from portuguese students with portuguese robots (Yishay - they
problably have the same problem you noticed, it's best to help them out. I'm
not sure if these are your kids or Ken's...)

I think that we just have to help them out to use messages in work, but the
exchange of messages with people from other country is what make them feel t=
hey
belong to a internacional project.

This kind of =ABevents=BB and the discussion about it is very important for =
the
study of communities of practice, one of the concernes of the portuguese tea=
m.
