tutorials?

Occasionally, as part of an activity, we need to teach some technical 
issue, such as saving to a notebook, uploading to a webreport, using 
(long distance) birds, etc.
Although we do a lot of this by straitforward frontal instruction, we 
found it useful to have some document the kids can refer to. We thought 
that it might make more sense to have these documents detached from the 
actual worksheets, since the same issue can come up in different 
contexts. Then, we had another idea: post these as "tutorial" web reports.

Pros:
- easier to share, collaboratively author, translate, etc.
- can be "live", i.e., include active elements (e.g., tt objects)

Cons:
- need to be online to author.
- might need more thought on document design, so that it will be 
coherent both on line and in print.
- require a bit of UE design on the webreport site: add a tutorial 
section (under help?), add a "report type" of tutorial, etc.

One thing that I'm not sure if is pro or con is that the Epoz editor is 
probably good enough for writing tutorials, but isn't as feature rich as 
word.
