Call for testers: prerelease Xemacs auctex-1.44 (sync with 11.54)

Hello


I just successfully committed the patch with synch the xemacs auctex
pkg with 11.54.

I would like to ask the users to test this new release, especially
users which use Miktex in the MS windows environment.

An important point is to know whether the variable 
TeX-macro-global has been set correctly.


You can either use  the menu-tool and select package->pre-release  and
proceed as usual.

If you want to do the installation manually, since you are behind a firewall or
whatsoever, proceed as follows:

download from 
http://ftp.xemacs.org/beta/experimental/packages/

auctex-1.44-pkg.tar.gz       
package-index.LATEST.gpg     
or
package-index.LATEST.pgp     

Set 

(setq package-get-require-signed-base-updates nil)
and do M-x pui-add-install-directory RET ~/tmp/ RET
M-x package-get-update-base RET /path/to/package-index.LATEST.pgp RET
M-x pui-list-packages RET
