So does anybody have a clue who to complain to about this in a manner
that might get something changed?  I mean, obviously somebody at
Fedora would be responsible for that choice: it is not an obvious
thing to ship version 17.something when the current version happens to
be 21.0.  Somebody must have been thinking something.  And presumably
somebody on the Emacspeak list would have inside arguments about why a
newer version would be desirable, if at all.  Or could offer help if
there are problems with newer versions.

We still might need to work around (we don't really want to look bad
on a default FC3 installation, broken as it may be), but this needs to
be dealt with in some manner.
