... I had no idea whether "Package: AUCTeX CVS-5.475" is outdated or
not.  The string "2005-01-06" would give me this information
_directly_ (an it won't hurt in any case).  Additionally when I'm
offline, I only have the ChangeLog file and not the CVS history
available.
