Did you only use Debian unstable, or testing, or also other versions of
AUCTeX? Can you send a mail to [email protected] that was generated
using M-X TeX-submit-bug-report?

Can you reproduce the problem on a specific file, and could you try to
pin it down to a (rather) small example document you can send us?
