The core dump happened when I wanted to prepare an example demonstrating a font lock problem but was not related to font lock patterns. It was triggered by the parser which has gotten additional patterns since 11.54. It would be nice if somebody could proof-read the section about changes and new features in the RELEASE file as well as the new entries in changes.texi and improve the wording if necessary. -- Ralf
