Very good. This is just a suggestion:
--with-lispdir=DIR Where to install lisp files, note that most
of AUCTeX will be installed in a subdirectory
Could become:
--with-lispdir=DIR Where to install the bulk of AUCTeX files,
preferably a subdirectory of some directory
in load-path.
--with-initfiledir=DIR Where your package init files go.
--with-auctexdir seems like a strange name to me.
