Hi, I just noticed that 2005-03-14 Masayuki Ataka <[email protected]> * tex-fold.el (TeX-fold-prioritize): Cater for preview-latex. included changes to preview.el. Having been away, I might not have properly taken notice of the respective discussion on the list. Please: changes to the preview-latex system should a) be mentioned in preview/ChangeLog b) not tie preview-latex into a particular AUCTeX release at the current point of time. It is well possible that I'll want to release a preview-latex 0.9.1 package with fixes to the build system and some other fixes, independently from AUCTeX. It is also possible that we'll provide separate preview-latex releases for a bit of a time (to work with some prepackages AUCTeX releases like the XEmacs stuff). I have not yet made a decision about that. And I think it very unfortunate if preview.el requires tex-fold.el to be loaded. If we need to place overlay priorities for some reason, I think we should try to figure out a system where preview.el can place its respective priorities without consulting with tex-fold.el. Can we figure out some proper scheme for that? I don't know the details of the problem that we need to solve here. -- David Kastrup, Kriemhildstr. 15, 44793 Bochum
