I can't reproduce this error any more! Since it happened about ten days ago before EuroTeX, I lost all my customization in .emacs due to 'usual' behaviour of Apple's X11 (the server looses the connection to the event loop when a volume, for example an external disk or an internal disk image, is mounted *while* the focus is in X11, for example when compiling a Carbon Emacs). It is restored now. Could be that this loss already happened on Saturday so that I worked with an incorrectly set-up GNU Emacs ... I still have the log file (and an empty *.prv directory). -- Greetings Pete A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
