Hm, that does not cut it.  preview-latex has too high of a priority on
the page, and all the administrative blurb about mailing lists being
moved and so on clutters the page without giving more information.

If we go for a single page, I think we should mention that AUCTeX
contains preview-latex at the top (like you do) and also mention the
old homepage.  On that homepage, I'll place the administrative blurb
about mailing lists moving and so on, with a pointer to the new page.
It is not interesting to new users of AUCTeX.

I don't think preview-latex should get its own subheading.  Instead it
should be mentioned prominently in the "Viewing" category of AUCTeX,
something like:

AUCTeX's optional preview-latex module equips your source buffer with
an unparalleled and sophisticated high-performance WYSIWYG previewing
and folding conglomerate that revolutionalizes the
edit-compile-preview cycle, works with both DVI output (via Dvips and
GhostScript, optionally Dvipng) and PDF output (via PDFTeX and
GhostScript) and is particularly suited to creating complex content
like math formulas, programmed graphic content, or text
transcriptions.  It is highly configurable through the use of
preview.sty which is developed along with it, and comes with its own
manual at...

Uh, Ralf?  Are you sure it is a good idea to squeeze everything on the
AUCTeX page?  I am afraid that I don't quite see how we can sensibly
fit all information that should be accessible with regard to
preview-latex into the framework of an AUCTeX overview page.

What effect should that have on the sectioning?  I think the
"optional" above is enough.  We might also mention "separate download"
as long as that is the case, and of course we should not put the text
up before there is such a download on the ftp site.
