Thanks.  [ Maybe that should be reflected on the SF pages.  I followed
the "CVS" link on http://sourceforge.net/projects/dvipng/ leading to
http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=109426 which is pointing to the
wrong repository. ]

That means that the users are now supposed to download the combined
AUCTeX/preview-latex and dvipng instead of AUCTeX plus the combined
preview-latex/dvipng.  Hm.
