This doesn't seem to be handled uniformly across the lists on Gmane. Personally I like your proposal better. We could make the distinction more clear with descriptions like "AUCTeX CVS commit notifications" for gmane.emacs.auctex.commits and "AUCTeX CVS commit messages with diffs" for gmane.emacs.auctex.cvs. BTW, your message I got via email had an MFT header directing to the AUCTeX mailing list only. As this was a crosspost to the AUCTeX and preview-latex-devel lists, this does not seem to be appropriate. Or did I get something wrong? -- Ralf
