I think that we should probably have the toolbar in our screenshots
(what toolkit is that, BTW?).  But for that, the "LaTeX" icon has to
properly follow PDF/DVI-mode switches at the very least.  Miguel, any
chance we can get this for the next release (maybe two weeks or so)?

Pffft.  If you have TeXlive installed, it is basically a matter of
fishing out some arbitrary example file written in LaTeX from the
docs, slap it with the appropriate \PreviewMacro or
\PreviewEnvironment commands in the preamble (or prauctex.cfg), and
that's it.  I picked MusiXTeX mainly because it is a baffler: the
actual usefulness is limited since most MusiXTeX documents are sheet
music and done with plain TeX.  Only theoretical treatises and of
course the manual (from which the example was taken IIRC) tend to be
in LaTeX.

I actually have not an inkling of a clue with regard to Bengali.  I
don't know about the language (could not say where it is spoken and
written) or the packages.  I just picked out random stuff and hit it
with preview-latex.  Probably some PStricks screenshots might be more
impressive, but I at least also wanted to point out the package's
usefulness when working with languages: most people will probably
rather associate it with mathematics.

I think I wrote a suggestion on the list already.  It is not quite
easy to capture the essence of preview-latex into a few words.

It has a lot in common with folding, nothing with font locking, and a
lot with previewing.  So I'd also mention it in the preview section
with an item like "In-buffer previews are provided by preview-latex".

What has struck me rather heavily is that AUCTeX is _exclusively_
toted as TeX/LaTeX, to the degree of not even mentioning ConTeXt and
Texinfo.  That's not going to attract us new developers in those
areas...
