tl;dr: After a long-ish hiatus ASynK is back, baby!
Thanks to the wonders of vibe coding, I caught up on years of backlog in
just a few weeks of calendar time (and ~$100 of AI credits :) Some
important things I knocked off include:
- Convert the whole code base from Python 2 to Python 3
- Migrate the Google Contacts connector from the old gdata API to the new
People API.
- Migrate Exchange from EWS to Graph API
- New out of the box support for iCloud Contacts
- New simpler onboarding flow ("python3 asynk init")
(MS Outlook connector is still broken for now)
The repo has undergone significant refactoring, including how libraries are
pulled in. I suggest a full reinstall by fetching the source here:
https://github.com/skarra/ASynK, and check the command line arguments which
have undergone some change. But your old state and configs should be
seamlessly supported.
If you're still interested in syncing your BBDB around. take it for a spin!
