Thanks for doing so, and apologies for not having replied sooner.

Personally I think this change is not really NEWS worthy, for all it
does is change the output of list-colors-display.  I see it more as a
workaround for a deficiency in Emacs, there has been a lengthy previous
discussion in bug #69598 already (which I only learned about today).
