which is what I think you were asking for.
 
Of course, that is also the only thing in my C++ file.
 
I suspect you inserted the template "doxygen-function" directly.  The 
best way to insert comments is to use the "Generate > Comment" menu 
item, which is bound to C-c / C (a capital C).  That will look at the 
current context (ie - if the mouse is in a function or variable) and 
insert the correct type of comment.
 
I have not personally tried out the doxygen comments in production code, 
so if you have tweaks to the templates, or the "programmer to english" 
translator, let me know and we could patch them to be better.  In 
particular, I see the typical Windows notation of "sSpeed" where "s" 
means short was completely missed.  I'm sure the translator could be 
patched up for those rules if someone were to take a whack at it.  (All 
the code for translations are in srecode/document.el)
